Prof. Granados-Focil was born in Mexico City, he earned B.Sc. (Chemistry, 2000) and M.Sc.(Materials
Science and Engineering, 2001) degrees from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM)
and a Ph.D. (Macromolecular Science and Engineering, 2005) from Case Western Reserve University
He is currently an associate professor in the Gustaf Carlson School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Clark University. Prof. Granados-Focil's research focuses on the synthesis of new macromolecules to study transport phenomena within polymeric matrices, with a particular interest in the development of better energy storage, chemical sensors and novel materials for construction of sustainable buildings.
